Mt. Zion Rescue Mission

The Mt. Zion Rescue Mission (formerly Feleta Children's Village) in Gbarnga is home to 66 orphaned kids. Kwatekeh began working with Mt. Zion in February 2018. Our first project was to construct two fish ponds. The ponds are a source of income for the orphanage, which helps them support their ongoing mission.

Mt. Zion also operates a school for local children in grades 1 through 9 and hosts an annual evangelistic Christmas outreach event to about 250 kids from the neighborhoods around the orphanage.

Kwatekeh is asking if you would consider sponsoring one or more of these 66 orphans (ranging in age from 7-18). A monthly gift of $30 would help feed and clothe a child while also keeping them healthy and in school. If you are interested in sponsoring a child, email me (Contact page) stating any preferences (e.g. boy/girl, age, more than one child, children from the same family) and we will match you with a child. You will get a picture of the child along with a short biography. Thank you!
